Hey hey everyone!

I got transferred to the Zanesville area! It is much larger that the Dublin area, but the houses are spread much farther apart. There are corn fields and soy bean fields everywhere. :) my companion, Sister Hardy, and I came to the mission on the same day so we are both pretty new haha.

I walked straight into a baptism here! Shelby has been coming to church on and off for about 7 years, but decided to make it a part of her life earlier this year. She was finally baptized this past weekend. :) her testimony is so incredible, and she was beaming with joy to be baptized. It is amazing seeing people find the happiness that comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ. :)

Sister Hardy and I are so excited for this transfer...we know lots of great miracles will happen with obedience, faith and relying on the Lord. :)

It is really sad that Rory died. :( she was the best dog in the whole world! Lots of good memories will stay thankfully. :) I am thankful our family had her for so many years!

Thanks for all your prayers! Remember to watch conference! We are so lucky to be able to hear from the apostles and the prophet this weekend. We are lucky because they are speaking to us what our Heavenly Father wants us to hear from Him. Don't take this opportunity for granted! :)

I'm grateful for this gospel, and I'm so grateful Heavenly Father has given me this privilege of serving a mission.

Have a happy week!

Goodbye Dublin

Well, everyone...

The time has come for me to leave Dublin. :( I am quite sad to go because we found three miracle investigators this week who we are positive will be baptised. But Sister Gruver is training again next transfer, so the new missionary will get to see their conversion and baptism...itll be amazing:) all three new investigators were found through miracles so that's what I'll share with you this week.

So on Thursday night our plans fell through and we didn't know where to go. We felt prompted to go to a certain neighborhood and that we needed to start in the middle of all the houses. Though the prompting was strange, we decided to follow it. We knocked on the house of our investigator and when she looked at us through the window, she got a huge smile on her face. Sister Gruver and I looked at each other and said, "she thinks we are someone else." Haha well she opened the door still smiling and told us to come in. We went in and she started saying how we could not have come at a more perfect time because she needs a lot of help and was just wondering how she was going to get through. She explained to us that she is going through a divorce, and is losing everything. She and her daughter needed a lot of help with moving all of their stuff. We went back to their house on Monday to help them move and she was telling us how she knew that God directed us to her. We told her that God loves her very much and she responded with, "I felt that the night you came." She told us that she wants to come to church with us! It was so incredible how God directed us to her in a moment of need. He knew that she needed to feel of His love for her.

Our other new investigator is a golden referral. :) her boyfriend from out of state referred her to us and he said that they've talked about the Church a lot and that they even read from the BOM together on a weekly basis! :) we were able to get a hold of her and she is very interested. She's super cute and wants to develop a stronger relationship with Christ. As soon as we get permission from her dad, she'll be baptized asap 😊

Krishna is the bomb. He came to church on Sunday and really enjoyed It! The ward was so welcoming to him and helped him feel comfortable. :) it was super cool because during our lesson with him we talked a lot about baptism and the holy ghost, and he told us that he really would like the gift of the Holy Ghost. Heck yeah you do!! :) hes such a cool guy :)

We have a lot of amazing people we're starting to work with, and I'm really sad to leave them, but I know that God needs me somewhere else in Ohio. :) thanks for all your prayers! Love you all!

Have a happy week

No one is alone

Hello!
Hope you all had a fun and productive week last week!

Sister Gruver and are so amazed that the transfer ends next week...it went by so fast!! The leaves are starting to change and fall--it is so beautiful! πŸπŸ‚ we were able to teach a few lessons this week, which felt SO good after not teaching for about two and a half weeks! :) we met two really cool people this week, and are excited to teach them more. :)

We met Krishna because our plans that night fell through. We had a lesson planned, but our investigator wasn't able to be there so he canceled. Sister Gruver and I decided to tract around his apartment complex instead. It is a huge apartment complex, so we said a prayer to know which building to go to. After the prayer I felt like we needed to go to a certain building, and Sister Gruver felt like we needed to go to the top floor. Well, the last door we knocked on we found a man from India named Krishna. He has always admired Jesus Christ for teaching people to love one another, but wanted to know what exactly he did in his life. We were able to go back and teach him on Friday, and he was very intrigued.:) we are excited because we get to teach him again possibly Wednesdya, and definitely on Friday. :)

The second awesome person we met is Carly. She let us into her home and talked to us for a while about the Savior and what He's meant in her life. She told us how she lived in Houston a few weeks ago, but felt very strongly that she needed to break her lease early and move to Ohio. She said that had she not listened to that, her house would have been in the path if the hurricane and she and her 2 year old daughter wouldn't have made it. Wow. We told her a little of the message of the restoration, and she wants to learn more as well. She wanted to come to church really badly, but is a nanny and couldn't come this week...we are praying for next week!! πŸ™

It's incredible seeing the Lord guide His work and lead us to those willing and ready to hear the message of the restored gospel. Everyday my testimony grows stronger that this is truly the Lord's church.
I hope you all have a happy week! 😊

Much love,

Sister Morris

There can be miracles if you believe:)

Hello, people that I love!

This week was amazing. To give you the whole picture of how trulymamazing it was, I must give you some background. Okay, so two weeks ago during one of our morning prayers I felt like I needed to pray for a test of faith as we were finding people. Why? I have absolutely no idea. But I did as prompted and prayed for a test of faith...and also strength haha :) well...the next two weeks were really super hard. I don't think we had more than five conversations that lasted longer than three minutes in a span of 16 days. We were both having a hard time. Sister Gruver had someone on date for baptism nearly every week last transfer, so Dublin was a change haha. You really learn to have super meaningful prayers when you've got your companion to talk to or Heavenly Father. Well, we kept smiles on our faces, we kept testifying of Christ, and we kept knocking on doors. You know the scripture in Ether that talks about how miracles come after a trial of your faith? Well...that is the most true statement in the whole world. :) after two weeks of hardly anyone giving us the time of day, Heavenly Father guided us to some amazing people. :) we got eight new investigators this last week, and nearly all of them seem genuinely interested! :) thank you so much to everyone's prayers. They help SO MUCH!! :) the past 5 days we have had so many meaningful and uplifting conversation, people have been so kind, and they have expressed their testimonies of the Savior as well. :) it's seriously been an amazing week. We have at least one lesson nearly every single day this week!! :D

At zone conference last Wednesday we got news that our mission has been assigned to be an online proselyting mission! Don't worry, we still spend the majority of our day outside talking to people face to face. :) We just have the opportunity to Skype people to teach lessons if they're busy, or send them uplifting things through messenger! :) it's amazing the miracles our mission has already seen. Sister Gruver and I were actually asked by someone from back home if we could teach them, and President Stratfird gave us permission!! :) It's amazing because we can get permission to teach anyone from anywhere in the world!! :) I've always thought of social media as a tool for the adversary, but now it is so clear that it is a tool the Lord has provided to further his work!! :) the internet is a way that you can reach hundreds of people around the world in a moment...thinknof all the good that can come from that!! :) haha I guess I'm kinda slow to figure this out πŸ˜‚

I hope you all are having an amazing end of summer...it has cooled down quite drastically in Ohio, and the leaves are starting to change colors. :) if there were mountains here it would be perfect :) a few shoutouts--happy belated birthday to my dear amazing older sister Kelcie!! I'm the worst and forgot to mention last week :( you should all have a dance party with her to celebrate :)

happy birthday to cousin Mitchell aka Chim! :) (Kelcie might be the only one who gets that...)

Thank you Grandma Lorraine and Grandpa Mickey for the cookies and letter!! Sister Gruver and I devoured those cookies so fast! πŸ˜‚

and last shout out to Elder Hunter Steffen!! :) wooaahh! You're half way there!! :) keep up the amazing work in the jungle :)

Hope you all shine with happiness everyday!! Love you all lots and lots!! Don't forget that! :)

Be happy
