Miki's Mission: The Mouse has Left the House...

It's been an eventful couple of weeks leading up to this day. Kaiya surprised us by coming home a month early from Ireland, Tristan and the grandkids are here for a month, the farewell, friends leaving, and family parties. Then the big day today: Dropping Miki off at the MTC! The tears have mostly stopped and we've received our first letter from Miki. I'll send the link to this blog to everyone that left us their email address. Simply follow the blog to be notified when a new letter is received or pictures have been posted. Miki and our whole family greatly appreciate all of your support and love each of you!

Hello, mom and dad! :) I know you just dropped me off, but I was told that I can write you a letter to tell you I'm alive and happy! :) I've dreamed of being a missionary for such a long time, and it's finally happened! Name badge and everything! :) I met my companion, Sister...uh oh...I can't remember! I guess it's a good thing I have a while to get to know her haha. It was so so nice having a familiar face show me around the MTC! :) They don't air condition the buildings very well, so my feet feel like they are sweaty fire balls, but that's also okay. I'm so happy that it doesn't even matter. ;) I took a picture with Sister Engrstom, and I'll send it to you on my pday, which is going to be Tuesdays while I'm here in the MTC. :) Everyone here is super friendly. :) It's a little confusing, but I'm excited to get to know people and have fun learning more about this wonderful gospel! :) I did forget a few things at home...could you please send me my glasses case? Lol I have absolutely no idea how I forgot that! :) I'm super excited to have more to share with you on Tuesday! I love you both tons and tons!! Have an amazing rest of your week! Go swimming and/or boating. :) Tell all my sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends that I love them all! I'll talk to you again soon! Remember to smile as often as possible!
