Transfers!

It was a really good week and Sister Hicks and I are super pumped for all the miracles the Great OCM is going to be experiencing! Heavenly Father inspired our mission president to invite every companionship to develop the faith to find, teach, and Baptize before July 1. (July 1 is when the mission change will occur and we will get Cleveland) there is a lot Heavenly Father is asking each of us to sacrifice and consecrate in order to reach this goal, but there have already been 12 baptisms! The faith and excitement is tangible whenever we are around our fellow missionaries. :)

Transfer calls came and Sister Hicks and I are staying together! Woot Woot! 😀

Thanks for all your prayers and love! Be happy and always remember to find things to smile about... God gives you lots 😊

Wowza!

Wow this week was incredible!!

Yesterday we had exchanges with the Hilliard sisters and we experienced one of the greatest miracles of my whole mission. Sister Sessions and I were on bikes all day (which is the best because it increases the number of people we are able to talk to by a lot:)) and we met the most prepared woman ever! She was sitting on the stairs in front of her apartment door looking down. She looked up when we said hi and looked so in shock. We started talking with her and she opened up a lot. She told us how badly she just wants to be happy. We taught her a little bit about the atonement of Jesus Christ and how He can bring us the most joy. By the end of the contact she was crying tears of joy and was so excited to learn more. Later that night she came to the relief Society activity with us and explained that she had been praying this morning just about ready to give up on everything and then she looked up and we were there. Haha she said, "it was like you just fell from the sky!!" she is so awesome and immediately recognized God's hand in what had happened. We were then able to teach her about how we lived with God before coming to this life and how badly He wants each of us to be happy and to eventually return to live with Him again. She then pretty much quoted King Lamoni and said, "I want to give Christ my all... I will do anything for Him." she asked when we have church services and said she was would rather quit her job than not be able to come to church!!! She said, "this is worth way more than anything money could buy." SHE IS SO RIGHT!! 😊 She is planning on being baptized June 30 :) it was so amazing being a part of God's work... Being where He needed us so this woman could know how dearly He loves her. I know God loves us and will answer our prayers. I also know that as long as we are willing to act on spiritual prompting, He can use us to help someone else. :)

The other day during lunch Sister Hicks and I were trying to find a video that explains what we do as missionaries to send to an investigator who was asking, and we came across one that very inaccurately depicted it. Lol they had a pristine apartment, fancy salt shakers, and gourmet looking dinner that they had cooked. Real mission life is Sister Hicks and Sister Morris eating salad with steakknives off of a paper plate because we are all out of everything else. 😂

Life is good in the great Ohio!! Heavenly Father never ceases to amaze me 😊 have a beautiful week!! Love you all!

Also, we taught the restoration to two guys while we almost beat them (divine help haha) in a game of PIG. :) it was awesome! You would have been proud, dad 😂

So much goodness:)

In preparation for zone conference we were asked to study Alma 17-27 and ponder how Ammon and Aaron loved and served those they taught and baptized. It has been awesome to study!! I've learned a lot from Ammon and Aaron's examples. I think they help us see exactly what ministering should look like. Sister Hicks and I have been discussing that a lot recently... How Ammon helped so so many people enter the waters of baptism and his method was to love and serve, then teach. He also acted on every single opportunity to share his testimony, and he shared it BOLDLY. I fully believe that if we learn how to do that better and then help others understand how to do that there will be many more baptisms in the great OCM and all throughout the world. It is going to be amazing seeing the miracles come as we implement ministering and as we help others to do the same. :) a fun fact, the word 'miracle' comes after 'ministering' in the Bible Dictionary. Awesome!! :)

Fun miracle from the week, Jane sent me a CTR ring in the mail!! She is the best! I am so blessed to have served her and learned from her for 5 transfers :) she also told me how she received her first Ensign and just loves it. :) we should all always love the gospel as much as recent converts!! That's my goal for the week... To be as enthusiastic about the restored gospel as Jane :)

Love you all!! Have a great week!

Has the day of miracles ceased? No!

Hello, people!

So many wonderful things are happening in Marble Cliff. :) the other night Sister Hicks and I had the impression to pull over so we could talk to a guy power washing his house. The conversation was a bit awkward at first, but after a bit it was not so awkward. We asked him if he had ever heard of the Book of Mormon and he responded with, "yeah. If I understand correctly it is another testament of Jesus Christ. A record of his teachings, after his resurrection, in the new world. Right?" WHAT. Haha he had no clue that he basically quoted the first paragraph of the introduction. It was amazing. To top it off he just got hired by a company in Utah... And his boss is Mormon. :)

Heavenly Father has also helped us cross paths with two woman who were baptized members of the church but haven't been for a long time. Both of them still have testimonies and want to start meeting with us. We met with one last night and she is so cool. The neatest thing about this is that neither of their records are  here in Marble Cliff... Heavenly Father just guided us to them! It has been amazing meeting so many great people. :).

I studied the talk, "Behold the Man!" by Elder Uchtdorf from this past conference and holy cow...it is AMAZING!!! Id definitely recommend all of you study it. You will learn new ways of how you can come unto Christ and how you can help others do the same. I would copy and paste my favorite part but my tablet is freaking out... Haha guess you will just have to read it 😉

Life is good. The gospel of Jesus Christ is good news. He is the reason to be happy.... Because of Him we have so much!

Love you all,

Sister Morris

It’s Warm

Helllloooo!!!!! :)

It has been a great week again! It is getting so warm...finally!! The flowers are blooming everywhere and the grass is green. Oh man. Ohio is so beautiful. :)

We are experiencing miracles and missionary work is still the absolute best! On exchanges yesterday we met a super awesome girl. It was one of those awkward contacts where we were getting into our car right as she was getting out...and we decide to get back out and talk to her...because the Spirit asked us to. :) she looked at us like we were crazy at first, and then she opened up a lot. We testified of the joy of the gospel and how we experience more joy as we read from the Book of Mormon with the Bible. She told us that she believed us because of the happiness coming from us. Man. It was so amazing! People, the gospel brings so much joy! King Benjamin says it absolutely perfectly:

"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." Mosiah 2:41

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying life to its fullest. 🌞 love you all!!!

Sister Morris
