Last week I failed to mention something that was quite memorable. We had exchanges with the OSU sisters, Sister Hill and Sister Donaldson and I stayed on campus with Sister Hill. Being in down town Columbus here are some pretty odd people who roam around on campus. Anyway, we were having a great conversation with these two cute girls from South America when a high man walks up to us and mumbles something about thinking we were on the news. We tried to walk away a little bit but he followed...silently. He was being super weird and staring at us so I looked back at him to see if he wanted to say anything. He did. He looked at my forehead and asked if he could pop the zits on it. 😂 Hahaha it took everything in me not to bust up laughing. Man it was so great. The contact with those two girls ended up going great and now the sisters are teaching them! In the great OCM we embrace the awkward and we experience miracles.
Okay, now for a miracle in Marble Cliff! Sister Cox and I had to stay in one day until 6pm doing planning and other administrative stuff and were going stir crazy. When we were finally able to get out we decided to stop by some referrals that we had received. As we were praying before going to see the first referral we prayed that Heavenly Father would guide us to someone He had prepared to hear about the gospel...someone who would want to be baptized. We got out of the car and no more than ten seconds later a woman yelled to us and said, "THE MISSIONARIES!!" She then went on to explain that she had previously been taught by elders but that they hadn't stopped by for a while. She told us how she believes everything and wants to be baptized. WHAT. Haha our minds were blown. They really shouldn't have because Heavenly Father is amazing, but they were. Her name is Robyn and she's got a SOLID testimony already. 😊 She will be baptized but it may take a while.
Life is amazing in the great OCM! Thank you all for the prayers and support! I hope you all have a happy week!
Love,
Sister Morris
